Karachi arrived at Belle Ferme as quite an old man already! He was 19 years old, and came as a super school master Grand Prix dressage horse. He came from DVB, a dressage stable in Holland, where he had been competing internationally in Young Rider classes. Riding Karachi was like getting in a car with 8 gears instead of 4! He was a great horse to start to feel all the movements a Grand Prix dressage horse can give, and has been a great teacher to both Rachel and Clarissa, along with Cynthia Berkley who also rode him up to his retirement.
Well, Karachi was Richard Davison’s Grand Prix horse. He was on the British team, and competed in the world’s most prestigious dressage shows, all except the Olympics! And Karachi is a huge, sweet, cuddly, kind giant!
